Drake can make $15M give or take from the OVO x Roots collab
OVO clothing collaborated with the Canadian clothing company, Roots, in October 2020. If OVO clothing produces 1,000 units for each item in this collaboration, they could earn over $15M in revenue. These clothes are sold through the OVO clothing website. OVO drops can sell out within the first half hour on his website and app. If they sold 2,000 units instead of 1,000 units, OVO clothing could see a revenue of $31.136M. Anytime there is an OVO clothing drop, millions of dollars will be flying in due to the high demand for Drake's clothing due to the fact he is an international superstar. Drake has 72.5 million followers on his Instagram, (champagnepapi), as of November 2020. Some of Drake's Instagram posts include pictures wearing his brand of clothing.
Roots is a Canadian clothing line started in 1973 according to their website. Two Canadian clothing lines collaborating is something that is expected from Drake since he carries his city and his country on his back. The average person who follows is aware of Drake's Canadian pride and his love for Toronto.
The image below is a screenshot of a google sheets spreadsheet of the calculations on each item in the collaboration. There are 16 items included in this drop including varsity jackets, sweatpants, shirts, hoodies, and a stuffed beaver. The beaver is the logo for the Roots clothing line while the Owl is the logo for OVO clothing.
